This scale is a great scale for soloing on the guitar.
Pentatonic scales are the foundation of many other scales – for example if you add in one note to this scale you get the blues scale.
Also the minor pentatonic scale has been used as the basis for many classic intros on songs such as Midnight Hour and Knock on Wood.
